1

EDUCATING THE WHOLE STUDENT

  • It is foundational and with great intentionality that Our Lady of Good Success Academy directs all its aims at preparing an educational program and environment that meets the needs for proper dignity, growth, and maturity of the whole person; in its curriculum, extracurriculars, and the well prepared environment.

  • A whole and wholesome education, by participating in daily Mass, following the Liturgical feasts and seasons and saints of our Holy Faith, in and out of the classroom. Properly celebrating and educating about Catholic Holidays like All Hallows Eve, St. Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Easter, Christmas, and others which secular culture misrepresents.

  • We also offer activities that challenge and foster opportunities for camaraderie, sportsmanship, and healthy competition — forming not just students, but young men and women of character.

2

THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH’S MISSION OF EDUCATION

  • “Considered in its historical origin, the school is by its very nature an institution subsidiary and complementary to the family and to the Church. It follows logically and necessarily that it must not be in opposition to, but in positive accord with those other two elements, and form with them a perfect moral union, constituting one sanctuary of education, as it were, with the family and the Church.” — Divini Illius Magistri 77

  • In Divini Illius Magistri 78, Pope Pius XI further expressed that for a school to be a fit place for Catholic students, it is necessary that all the teaching and the whole organization of the school — its teachers, syllabus, and textbooks in every branch — be regulated by the Christian spirit, so that Religion may be in truth the crown of the youth’s entire training.

BRIGHT FUTURE IN A SANCTIFIED PATH

Our Lady of Good Success Academy fulfills its mission under the heavenly patronage of Our Lady of Good Success. For these times she presented the Christ Child on the Cross of the Pinchincha — the powerful image of Our Lord as an adolescent embracing the Cross in His love for mankind, and as an example for all who follow in His footsteps.

This modern age persuades children to believe they are made for pleasure, when they are made for far more. Following Christ crucified encourages young people to learn the value of sacrificing oneself for greater causes, to embrace the Crosses of life, and to renounce the vanities of the world — in preparation for eternity.

Our Lady of Good Success Academy relies on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help prepare the path of the children of today, as they walk through this life with Christ and Our Lady into their eternal reward with God the Father.

The aim is for OLGSA Students to:

  • Be Leaders with the Virtues as their compass

  • Love and Appreciate The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

  • Know the importance of their role in the church

  • Understand the benefits and levels of prayer

  • Learn to have an ordered life (St. Benedict Rule of Life)

  • Know/defend the faith

  • Respect authority

  • Have a fraternal love for others

  • Maintain Traditional values

  • Be logical thinkers

  • Impact their community for the greater Glory of God

Classical Education at Our Lady of Good Success Academy

Our Lady of Good Success Academy provides a classical Catholic education for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade in Riverside, California. Classical education is not a modern trend — it is the time-tested method by which the Church has formed saints, scholars, and leaders for centuries.

At OLGSA, the classical model means students are trained in the fundamentals of language, logic, and clear thinking. Rather than teaching children what to think, we teach them how to think — ordered toward truth, goodness, and beauty as reflections of God Himself.

Our curriculum integrates Catholic Faith across every subject. History, literature, and the arts are taught within the context of Western civilization and the life of the Church. Students are formed not just academically, but as whole persons — intellectually sharp, morally grounded, and spiritually alive.

We are proud to offer this classical Catholic approach to families throughout the Inland Empire, including Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Jurupa Valley, Norco, and Eastvale — providing an education rooted in truth for a culture that needs it.
